We were not told by the hotel that we needed reservations into the National Park until quite late in the evening. By then it was too late to secure them. Also, hotel prices were very high considering this was the off-season, probably our highest in 12 days along the Algarve and in southern Spain..
This is the secon time that we have visited Doñana and we have been disappointed on both occasions as we have not seen the animals that we expected to see. I know that this is a national park and not a zoo and that it is a question of luck what you see or don't see. I just want to warn people that if you're lucky you'll maybe see a lynx or wild boar. If you're not lucky all you'll see are pine trees and sand. Having said that we'll try again another year, maybe in the spring as we have been told that there is more "animal and bird activity at that time of year" As far as the price we can't complain, the guide spoke good English and answered all of our questions.
Thanks Julio. Both me and the kids had a great time even though we've never been horseriding before. The route was just right for our level and the countryside was really something else. We'll be back.
