Just a few kilometres from Mazagón, along the A-494 main road, stands one of the province's two "paradores" (buildings of special interest
converted into government-run hotels); this particular one gives its name to this expansive beach. Surrounded by pine woods and with its
characteristic ochre-coloured cliffs, this country beach will reward you not only when you reach the sands but also on the way to them -
because you leave your car on the cliff top, next to the parador; and as you make your way down to the beach you're bound to want to stop to
take in the views of the natural surroundings.
